Upgrade to series 3

I have a series 1 in good shape and want to trade up to series 3, will there be a trade-in program??

BTW, 2 biggest reasons for upgrade: water proof and visibility in outside environment (hopefully). Very frustrated as I cannot see the watch face out in normal sun light.... and I work outside all day!!!
