Unable to Sync apple watch with new iPhone 8

I am unable to sync my Apple Watch with the new iPhone8? iPhone gives instructions on how to go about it - "Pair apple watch manually > Tap 'i' Icon on your apple watch". But i do not see the 'i' Icon on the watch

It should not be necessary to pair your Apple Watch manually. Check that you are following all of the instructions here, if necessary including under "Get help":

 

 

If you still wish to pair your Apple Watch manually, then tap on "Pair Apple Watch Manually" on your iPhone during step 2 of the process (as pictured in the support article) and then follow the further instructions that are shown on your iPhone.

 

If you are switching your Apple Watch from a previous iPhone, then instead follow the instructions here:
