Two Questions: Does iCloud store albums + Does ...
I currently have an iPhone 6+ with 16gb storage, and I am planning to switch to an iPhone 8+ with 256gb storage. My main reason for switching phones despite my current one working perfectly fine is so that I have much more storage. I have a lot of photos (currently 10k+) that I want to keep on my phone but because of having the only-16gb model, I only have about 500mb left, hence the reason for switching and the importance of being able to transfer my photos. All the photos that I have are only ones that are in my camera roll - either taken by my phone's camera or saved from twitter/other sites while I was browsing on my phone - and I do not have any photos in my photo stream at all. I have all my camera roll photos organized into albums and folders, as well.
Question 1
This is probably obvious but I just wanted to triple check because my photos are important to me, if I backup all my photos onto iCloud's photo library, and then sign into iCloud photo library on my new phone, will all my photos - as well as their location and time data (and original quality) - be downloaded back (not simply just accessible but actually downloaded) into my camera roll on my new device? And most importantly, will all the albums and folders that I made on my old device be restored in the same condition on my new one? So for example if I had the albums "trip to india" "trip to europe" "trip back home" in a folder "trips", and within those albums I had rearranged photos in a particular order, would that all remain the same on my new device? Basically, would the photos, albums, and folders within it be identical between my old and new device.
Question 2
This is also probably quite obvious, but I need to make sure especially since I've never really used this feature, but if I log out of iCloud on my new device, would the photos that were synced back into my new phone's camera roll (and albums/folders if those were synced as well) stay there, or would they be deleted off my phone and only accessible if I was signed into iCloud? I understand that if I was signed out of my iCloud photo library any new photos I saved wouldn't be uploaded into the cloud, but once the photos are downloaded onto my phone would it remain there independent of being signed in?
Thank you to anyone who is able to answer this, and also sorry for the length of the question - I just wanted to be as detailed as possible so that there wouldn't be any surprises when I changed phones!
