how do i get shift f3 to work like it does in m...

In Word for Windows, the shift-F3 command toggles case.  It doesn't in the Mac version of Word.  How do I accomplish that?

Just plain old shift toggles case in most programs.   When the Caps lock key is activated, it works in reverse.

In MSWORD for Windows, shift-F3 changes the first letter of a word (or highlighted words) to a capital.  Coninuing to hold down the shift key and pressing F3 agan capitalizes all the letters in a word (or highlighted).  Pressing F3 for a third time, while still holding down the shift key, makes everything lower case.  This is a very useful command and I am sure there must be some way to do the same thing in APPLE WORD.

Ideas?

It also works that way in https://www.libreoffice.org/  You may want to switch to that. Best off, it is free.

There are a couple of places where the work I do is required to be in MSWORD, so while LibreOffice is interesting, I am not sure it is going to solve my issues.  I appreciate the thought!

Unless they depend on Macros, chances are they will never notice the difference you aren't using Word. LibreOffice supports practically every format of Microsoft Word.    At last resort you can always bring the document back into Word after it has been corrected for all the caps, and ensure the macros that are needed are added.

Trach changes?  Comments?  Does it support DOCX format?

It supports DocX through file menu -> Save As

It supports track changes through the Edit menu -> Changes.

Hey! There is a much easier solution -- you just go into System Preferences, then to 'Keyboard' and then check the box next to 'Use F1, F2, etc. keys as standard function keys'. This means you'll have to press 'fn' to use the other functions these keys can perform (like changing the brightness etc.) BUT all commands that say 'use F whatever' will work fine. This fixed my word issue with changing the case just fine!
