Titles keep changing back

i can easily change the title of any iBook on my iPad, but when I re-open iBooks, the titles have changed back to their originals. How do I make the changes permanent?

Hi. I don't think you can. iBooks is a cloud content manager, sort of like iTunes and Music. You can use the content, but it's not yours to modify.

If you're viewing pdf files, not actual iBooks, the GoodReader app is a much more flexible alternative. And it does let you remane the files.

Many thanks. Most of my stuff is pdf's and I can rename them in my Google Drive. It was attachments sent to me that I unknowingly opened in iBooks, to store them on my iPad. There seems to be nowhere else to store docs on an iPad, unless you know of a way? I mean, there is no folder structure that I know of (in my ignorance). I suppose I could paste into Notes, or into some text editor, if I can remember which text editor I used to store it. This lack of folders is, to me, the most serious failing in iPads, not to mention the awful keyboard lacking any cursor control or highlighting (unless your own vision is microscopically sharp and your dexterity is perfect...
