Why do you think that you are being charged for free apps?

Welcome to the forums.

Sometimes an app has a free version and a paid version.  Be sure you are getting the right "free" version.

no man i am entering the free apps and trying to download some...but they keep asking for my visa card and stuff !!

That doesn't mean they are going to charge you, do you have an account setup? You can create an account without a CC if you're only interested in the paid ones.

yea i already have an account,,,and i was downloading apps,,,but all of a sudden 2 days ago i was trying to download a free app,,,so they asked me for my visa card password,,,so now i cant download any free ones!

visa password or your iTunes account password? Is this within the app store? Maybe a screenshot would help

yea i jst typed it...so they took me to the a page that requires to identify if i want to pay with visa or not...so i cancelled it and it worked....thanks alot man i really appreciate it

Hey there I am facing the same issue I just got an iPad two trying to download Facebook and Skype but it keeps asking me for cc details when the apps are free why is that. I tried to do as above and press cancell and the download disappeared please help I feel IT challenged

If you only want free apps create an account without a credit card
