No weather on workout or activity app

Since upgrading to ios 11, the weather is no longer displayed at the end of a workout on my apple watch 2 (in this case an outdoor run).  It used to display the temperature and humidity.  The weather is no longer available in the activity app on the iPhone as well (used to also show temperature and humidity).

How do I get that back?

Should have mentioned I upgraded to watch os 4.0 as well when this problem started occuring
