Siri no longer responds if cover closed after I...

Hello,

I have an IPad Mini 4 that I use to control my HomeKit and that is generally always connected to the power.

I’ve been using it for the past year without any issues, I call Siri using the “Hey Siri” command without any issues, until I upgraded to IOS 11. Even after resetting up my voice with siri I noticed that if the cover is closed it no longer responds.

If it’s on or uncovered and the screen is off and I say hey Siri it works fine...only if the cover is closed there’s no response.

is is this a bug or anyway around that?
