Is it possible to temporarily disable the Apple...

I have an Apple Watch 2 and a toddler who loves screens. While holding her or changing her, she has managed to make my watch call 911, she's turned on the sound, turned off notifications, locked it out, etc etc. I have resorted to not wearing my watch when I'm home with her. I'm teaching her to respect screens, but in the meantime I'm terrified of having to apologize to the emergency operators again! Is there a way to disable the touchscreen functions while still allowing the clock/faces to display and the fitness tracker to work? I know that's not why I have the watch, but I'd rather wear it with limited functionality than not wear it at all - and I can use the full capabilities when the baby isn't around. Thank you!

Hi

Under the current version of watchOS, with Wrist Detection turned on, it is not possible to manually lock Apple Watch such that the passcode needs to be entered to unlock it again. Your watch will instead lock automatically upon being removed from your wrist.

On Series 2 models, in Control Centre, Water Lock can be turned on by tapping on the water droplet button. This locks the screen and buttons to prevent accidental interactions with them. The feature is intended to be used during exposure to water, but it can also be used at other times. Turn the Digital Crown to turn off Water Lock.

If you would like to submit a feature request to Apple for any other kind of locking feature, then you can do so here:

Thank you! I'll try this tonight and hopefully it does the trick - and I might ask Apple for a BabyLock. She causes similar mischief with my phone, but that's easier to keep hidden!

You're welcome - good luck!
