MacBook Pro 2012 very slow

Hello,

I have a Macbook Pro 2012 that is in great condition. I have taken it to be looked at twice and both time it passed the hardware and software tests. The only thing that was suggested is perhaps freeing up some space on it may speed it up. If I were to transfer my pictures and videos to an external hard drive, would it help?

if your drive is running out of space it can cause all types of trouble. Freeing up space would help but only if space were becoming limited on the system drive.
