volume leaps on disk drive to slow meassage

why does the volume leap ten fold when the message disk drive too slow appears. it nearly broke my f**kin speakers. not happy

You must have experienced the famous "White Noise" blast!

It's some kind of digital error a loss of Sync, possibly Logic losing sync with core audio. I think Logic is the only Audio/Midi recording application that produces that sound. It's dangerous.

that's kinda what i figured it it was. it'd good to try and mount some pressure on apple to take these kinda of glaring errors seriously

I'm experiencing the same from time to time (it's not related to white noise, btw). Are you using UAD plug-ins as well? That's the only common denominator I figured out so far.

no..., it's not white noise. not uad plugins. a laptop connected to a apogee Quartet...., couldn't be simpler
