iOS11 wifi turns itself ON?

Issue:

Since loading iOS11 a few days ago - I find the wifi turns itself on sporadically on my iPad.

I KNOW it was off, but there it is, automagically ON in the morning.

This is disconcerting.

Hard to know if this is supposed to be a feature with an obscure setting I am missing, or a software bug.

Anyone else experiencing this?

It leaves me loathe to update to iOS 11 on a phone too.

Hi. First, the WiFi button in the new Control Center only disconnects WiFi. And it reconnects again at 0500. You have to use Settings to turn it off. When I deactivate Wi-Fi or Bluetooth from control center they aren't actually switched off even though the icons have been tapped. I need to go to settings to actually switch them off. for the full story. Strange, but true.

My son & I are also having this problem with our iPhones sfter the update, are there any fixes for this as our wifi is limited so don't want it tuning on automatically

Use Settings to turn WiFi on and off. Do not use Control Center.
