Battery usage showing apps which aren’t e...
On my iPad and iPhone, I sometimes see heavy battery drain which Settings->Battery->Battery Usage attributes largely to an app which isn’t even showing in the background. The worst culprit is MyRadar (which wrought so much destruction upon my iPhone battery that I had to delete the app, entirely) and now WiFi Map Pro. Also note that I had this problem on my iPhone when it was running iOS 10 and now it’s happening on my iOS 11 iPad.
I went into Location Services and both of those apps were marked by the hollow purple triangle, but I’m quite certain that these apps are not in the background apps chooser. I have changed both of those apps' settings to be allowed Location Services only when the app is in the foreground, but I’m still curious as to how this happened. Are apps *not even* in the background allowed to task Location Services with something, like geofencing or something?
