My iMessage on my iPad has only an e-mail address And not my phone number. How do I add a phone number to my Apple ID?

Login to https://appleid.apple.com/account/manage > then choose the [Edit] button in the "Account" section

I guess that you are talking about adding a "reachable at" phone number
