hundreds of domains listed in "default domains"

Hi,

I'm quite new to MAC but have been using Linux for years so I may have tweaked something I shouldn't have when I first setup the MAC

But I've seen the output from "defaults domains" grow rapidly over time

I have apps I uninstalled a qhile ago still listed there, and I've even tried running pkgutil --forget and defaults delete for cx.c3.theunarchiver but its still listed.

Any adeias if this is normal?

Hello Stuart,

That looks normal. Why would you even run that command? There is nothing on Linux that is equivalent. Any Mac app is going to scatter files all over the file system. Truly "uninstalling" an app is virtually impossible. There is always going to be some piece left in a temp file or internal database.
