iTunes Error Message

I get an error message when trying to sync iPhone and iPad in iTunes:  Attempting to copy to the disk "MacIntosh HD" failed.  The required folder cannot be found.

This is happening to me too. The syncing never stops (Waiting for items to copy). You have to unplug the cable. Cannot figure out if anything is missing on the iPad or maybe the backup isn't complete? It's saying "attempting to copy TO the disk..." So it might be during the backup.
