Will sending in my iPod Touch for repairs erase...

So, my iPod Touch is stuck in a boot loop. Which means I cannot backup any data on it or turn it on at all. I want to send it in for repairs, but I am afraid that they will factory reset the device or somehow erase data on it. I have progressed through games that's data cannot be synced through other devices, photos, and videos of memories... I don't want to lose all that. If they DO happen to factory reset or erase data on devices after repairing them, is there any way I can get them to not erase the data? I'm sorry for the idiotic question, I'm just paranoid.

I"m afraid you will probably lose everything.  They might be able to get it out of the boot loop without restoring it, however I can also see them simply unpacking yours, confirming the issue and packing up your replacement back to you. You shoudl be able to restore it from your latest backup - presuming that you've backed up your device, but may lose any progress made since that back up.
