Apple watch series 1 with iOS4, workout running...

Hi everyone,

I'm using Apple watch series 1 for quite some time and do my workouts with it too.

So far it worked just fine to track my running records and heart rate while running.

Recently I've updated from watch iOS 3.2.2 to iOS4.

But now after the update, the heart rate won't be recorded or displayed when selcting in or outdoor running as well walking.

Do you have any idea why and what I can do to activate it?

As in the watch settings / workout / workout view / multiple metrics / indoor run / heart rate is "gray". No matter if i remove and reactivate it, it doesn't turn white (active) in the settings menu.

In other cases I will need to return to the previous version of watch iOS.

Hi

The following steps may help:

  • On your iPhone, in the Watch app, go to: My Watch (tab) > Privacy > if they are not already enabled, turn on Heart Rate and Fitness Tracking.

  • On your iPhone, in the Watch app, go to: My Watch (tab) > Workout > turn off Workout Power Saving Mode.
