I usually have about 10 tabs open trying hard to answer questions but this error message keeps on stopping me from helping people

 

"Post limit reached. Please try again in a few moments"

IT appears to be a new anti -spam message. i'll take it to the hosts and see if I can get you an answer..

I posted the question for the hosts. Being that it's getting past quitting time it might until tomorrow before I get an official answer. i'll let you know when I do.

Unless there's been a change, you can't post more than once every 30 seconds (a measure to ward off spammers) - the hosts might have changed the error message you receive.

I suspect this may all be part of the changes that are bringing up the message Grayn280 is banned from posting.   I had one of these this morning.  I text-edited a copy of my post to desk top and answered the question with exactly the same message ... and it went through.

I don't want to steal Bob's thunder, but this is the new, normal and expected behavior for level one users. It has been confirmed by the hosts, it was in fact implemented in order to cut down even further on the spam posts and frankly, I think that it is working very well.

 

Don't be offended by this approach, you will be moving up in the community before you know it!

Thanks for getting back to Avery with the info. The sooner he got the host's answer the better msking it less likely people would conjecture.

You are quite welcome. This is a very welcome change to the way that the community works. Hopefully it will discourage the single the spammers from plastering the community with their trash.

It seems to be working, no complaints from me. As much as as anything I wanted to check if it was a legitimate message. The User Asfahan and User Grayn messages that were open to interpretation come to mind.

Now that I am level 2 I still get this error.

You are still only allowed to post once every 30 seconds no matter what level you are. Are you trying to post more often than once every 30 seconds?

In addition to the advice from Demo above, please note that the privileges of the different levels may not appear immediately. It may be a day or so before your posting privileges change.
