Lightning to HDMI problem new iOS

Just updated to latest iOS and my lightning to HDMI adapter suddenly stopped working on many apps I use to watch video on tv.  Message comes up saying screen recording is not supported.  Is there a fix or am I out of luck? Any advice or help would be appreciated
