Why no more auto

what is the r atkoajl for iOS11 removing the brightness auto-control?

seems like every update one or more features start to require extra steps to do something?...

Settings > General > Accessibility > Display Accommodations > Auto-Brightness.

I’m gonna think it’s a glitch because there is supposed to be auto brightness. ANd some seem to have it working, but mine only wants to dim, not go up and down.

Thank you, I did find that control, but - turning it On, merely dimmed the brightness.  Auto-control doesn't show up on Display and Brighteness, and there is moo way to turn Diaply Accommodations On - it's Off, no matter what.

So the only option seems to be taking three extra steps and having the screen dim - that can't be right?!
