external hard drive connected via 2nd screen
Hi,
I have a MacBook Air (running on Sierra) and have been doing my backups on a "WD My Passport for Mac" for a year now. I recently got a second screen (Eizo) which has two convinient USB-Ports at the back and I wanted my external hard drive to be there permanently (just because it doesn't have to be visible at my desk all the time).
It worked for a couple of days but all of a sudden it doesn't work (the backups and accessing the files on the drive in general). My MacBook does see the hard drive though. Do you think the MacBook/drive has a problem with the screen-USB-port, or is there a problem with my TimeMachine?
Thanks in advance!
