iPhone won’t download large apps

For some reason my IPhone 6S plus will not allow me to download large apps 2 gigs and higher. My WiFi is on and I have more than enough space, but the message “iPhone cannot download app at this time” halfway through the download. If any one has an answer to this that would be very helpful. Thank you.
