false overheating

my mac hit a few recent problems where the HDD didnt boot sometimes and it would randomly shut the screen off

disk utility repair got the HDD to boot 90% of the time, i just have a problem, the mac thinks my GPU is way hotter than it really is. so it just shuts off the GPU when it really shouldn't and i have to restart.

is there any way i can correct the sensor or tell the mac to ignore its heat?

i currently use "Macs Fan Control" 1.4 to let me turn my fans up and keep it running but its very loud and still turns off if i stress the GPU for more than 5 minutes.

im so tired of the mac thinking the GPU is 200°F when i really just turned the mac on and it isn't even warm yet.

edit: i trust macs fan control, and i have been using it for a long time without any sort of problems, not one.

i have to let the mac sit if i stress the GPU and it claims to be at 270°F+ or i cant get it to fully boot before it just turns off, and before the fan controller has a chance to start and turn the fans up. this blackout happens again & again until i let it sit and cool to room temp. even happened during the boot screen, booting, recovery mode, and it shows that it isnt just off, the hardware is still running, the keyboard still reacts, the speakers go quiet but still make proper sound, playing any sound its supposed to normally, fans run and all.. screen just goes black then turns off when the GPU hits 270... which it doesn't actually, it used to just go to 150 (when i really stress it) on default fan speeds running. it idles on 200° fans max and an external fan blowing on the mac too.
