Photos export to SD/Flash OS X 10.12.6

How to view pictures from Photos copied to an SD card or Flash drive on Panasonic TV?

Panasonic DMC ZS100 JPG images imported to Photos on iMac using OS X Sierra 10.12.6. When pictures are copied to an SD Card (SD or SDHC) or a USB flash drive and the card or drive is inserted into the Panasonic Plasma Viera TV (TC-P46G25) the image viewer shows two files for each picture. The first file in the thumb nails is the picture which can be viewed just fine. The second file is blank and the viewer shows "Cannot Read File". When I press "i" for info on the TV I get 1/2, file name P1010041.JPG, file date and file size. For the blank file I get 2/2, file name, ._P1010041.JPG, blank file date and blank file size.

Can I combine the two files or eliminate the second blank file so I can run a slide show on the TV without having every second picture show as "cannot Read File"?

The file format of the card can't deal with the file structure of the images, and it's showing the resource fork of the file as a separate entity.

There are various apps that will clean these up for you. Blue Harvest is one:
