Save folder window opening size and place
I have a MacBook Pro with twin displays (27” Apple Thunderbolt display and a 24” Samsung LED display, both 2560 x 1440). I the past when using USB thumb drives I have been able to open the drive once, position and size the drive’s folder window on the display I want, close the drive window, and when I eject, remount and open the thumb drive again it remembers the position and size I last gave that drive’s folder window. Lately I’ve purchased identical USB drives, but they won’t re-open in the size window and location on the desktop I originally closed them in. They will only re-open as a default small window in the middle of the main display.
Is it still possible in MacOS to get an external drive to open its folder window in a size and place on the Mac desktop after ejecting & remounting the drive?
Using Macbook Pro-r 13” late 2013, 16 GB RAM, MacOS Sierra 10.12.6
