iTunes 12.7 Reset Sync Missing??

After updating to ios 11 and itunes 12.7..  both the latest versions, I can no longer sync my iphone.  I have powered off and on, powered off and on my itunes, uninstalled and reinstalled..  it always gets to photos and music and says "sync session failed to finish"

In past versions, I would go to Preferences->Devices->Reset Sync History

This option is nowhere to be found.   How can I reset my sync history on my phone in this new version?   If it is not possible, then what else can I do to get my phone to sync.  And yes it backs up just fine.  Just no sync and no loading of music nor photos.
