How change Folder behaviour?

Hello to all,

Prior to upgrading to MacOS Sierra I was able to have Folders, Drives and all other containers - open up in a fresh (seperate) panel. This made life easy for me to drag'n'drop a files from one container to another. Now, when I select several containers - all I get is a single pane but with "tabbed selections" ??

How can I set selection behaviours to go back to getting seperate panels ??
