2013 imac 27 inch. Solid dark grey screen with ...

I have 2013 imac 27 inch. After reboot I now have solid dark grey screen with vertical line in middle of screen. Machine sounds like it is booting up but screen remains dark grey with vertical line in middle. I have left the machine on for over an hour in this state to see if the screen would correct. No success. Can't boot in safe mode. I have disconnected all components and still no luck.
