iTunes skipping songs in the middle of playback

While listening to a song in my library (not streaming on Apple Music), iTunes randomly skips to the next song before the song is finished. Not sure why this is happening, or how to fix it.

iTunes Version 12.7.0.166

MacBook Specs (not sure if this will help, but better safe than sorry)

• Processor 1.2 GHz Intel Core M
• Memory 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
• Storage Capacity 26.35 GB available of 498.95

Could storage be a problem here?
