My Ipad 2 Is giving me a Hard Time

Hi,

It's been a long time since I used my Ipad 2, so when I needed to use again, the iOS wasn't updated. I tried to update, but I received a notification saying that the iOS update wasn't available or that it wasn't possible to connect with my Apple ID.

Can you help me or my Ipad is so old that Apple excluded me and I have to buy a new tablet?
