Will Apple Watch Series 3 Heart Rate Sensor Wor...

I have a normal sized arm but I have a larger wrist bump/bone on wrist. I tried the Nike Apple Watch 2 and it really hurt my wrist from the watch touching the top wrist bone.

I want to try an Apple Watch Series 3 and wear it under my wrist. I have always worn watches under my wrist instead of on top.

Will Apple Watch Series 3 Heart Rate Sensor Work Under Wrist?

Will the watch track my heart rate if it is under my wrist and not the default on top of the wrist?

I really want to track my heart during basketball and bike riding... HELP! Thanks in advance...

NOTE: I know the default Apple stance on the Series 1 and 2 that it will not work under the wrist. But I have searched and some people say it does work. Is there a definite Apple response?
