Sierra mouse troubleshooting

Hi all,

couple of weeks ago my macbook started having some problems (I don't know if it started after some system update). First of all is that the usb mouse stopped working (doesn't matter if it is wired or not) after sometime of use it wont respond anymore until I plug out and in again, but it will stop again eventually (it can be a matter of seconds or minutes). The solution I found was reset the SMC and for sometime it actually worked, but now it started again and this doesn't seem as efective anymore. Other peripherals such as external keyboard and pen drives work just fine.

But thats not all, sometimes the dock disappear and it wont show anymore, i thought that could be a dock problem so I tried the killall Dock command and that did nothing, so I suspected that this was also related to the mouse issue.

It seems to me that the hover function gets affected and while the mouse is plugqed into the usb port, it wont work, whether its the usb mouse or the trackpad. Also I cant seem to be able to move files between folders using the mouse or trackpad (via terminal works just fine). However if I remove the mouse everything returns back to normal until I plug in the mouse and the bug happens again.

If someone could give me a hint of whats going on I would really appreciate that.
