ITunes to create ringtone

I'm trying to create ringtone by using the instructions, but when I go to 'Get Info' then 'Options' tab to enter start/stop time, I can't enter because not highlighted. I checked other prompts - AAC - and that's not highlighted either.  I can't do anything.  What can I do?
