Macbook pro 15" early 2011 with osx sierra wont...

Yesterday after doing some stata, I lifted the MacBook up from the table it was resting on to move it to a different room. As I was carrying it it suddenly turned off, and since then I haven't been able to boot it back up.

I have tried to boot it in safe mode, and internet recovery mode, but in both cases the mac will go to a gray screen and then turn off after a few minutes. I'm not even able to reach disk utilities.

I then tried booting it from single mode, which then found something wrong in the catalogue, and fixed it. After performing the /sbin/fsck –fy

twice I got the message that the volume seemed OK. When I tried rebooting, the same thing would happen again. Load 3/4 of the way, then gray screen, then automatic reboot.

I'm now in a bit of a loss concerning what to do. Is it likely that the problem is in the HHD, and that changing it for a new SSD will do the trick? And if I change it to a new SSD, is it possible to reinstall the OSX from internet recovery, or do I need a physical bootable disk (USB). If so, how is the best way to get hold of a bootable disk when I don't have a functional mac atm.

TL;DR: mac won't boot. Tried safe mode, recovery mode and single mode without luck. Could this be a hhd problem, and will putting in a new SSD fix the problem? How can I install OS X in the new SSD?

Try holding the power button even after it is on and if that failed contact Apple Support on apple.com/support or call 1300 321 456 and select Mac then talk to the Support Assistant to figure out what happened
