MacOS Sierra 10.12.6

Pages version 6.3 (5046) on MacOS Sierra - (version 10.12.6).

For some reason when I click once on Pages I now get a 'Finder' page with one addition - at the top of Finder the words "Pages - iCloud" and below on the left hand side - with all the usual icons (such as applications/desktop/documents etc) there is a separate icon, quote "iCloud" and immediately below that the Applications "A" and 'pages". A Pages icon appears on the MENU bar at the same time as the Finder page. Interesting though, I can access the regular Pages by clicking on that Pages and then "new".

Can anyone help me get to open Pages again with just one click of the mouse?

I do hope that I have clearly stated my problem?
