Holding Key for Accent Marks.
So to type accents (é, è, etc), I usually hold down the letter and wait for options to appear, in a pop up menu. But over the past few months I've had a problem where I lose that functionality and instead of getting accent options, I get a repeating letter (eeeeee). I've played with my keyboard options and everything but the only reliable fix is to restart my laptop. Understandably, I don't want to have to restart my computer every 5 minutes to get this functionality back.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
Hi,
Try resetting the NVRAM: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204063.
Using the option key doesn't work?
