Are there more Mail.app Backup Options?

Since I have owned a Mac, I have used Mail.app as the primary email client. I have faced multiple situations where I have deleted some very important emails and have faced the embarrassment to ask the sender to send the email again. Then I searched for backup options that were specific for emails backup only. I knew that time machine is always an option but in my opinion, it's not the best and exporting emails is a lengthy and tiring process if we have a huge email database. Finding more options online, in recent days I came across an application called Mail Backup X (https://mac.softpedia.com/get/Utilities/Mail-Backup-X.shtml). This is a third party app and trust me it worked absolutely fine and backed up my emails on the demo version. However, I am still looking for more options that are dedicated to email backup only and if I find much convincing options from the answers then I would like to go with it. Thanks
