Macbook Pro without hard drive as second monitor?
A few weeks ago, my 2012 Macbook Pro suddenly turned off and showed the flashing file folder. I quickly found out that there was an issue with my hard drive. Through impatience and a timely student loan refund, I now own a 2017 Macbook Pro with the touch bar. So now I have a Macbook that I can't really do much with. I can't get the system to boot up or get past the disk utility, so it's a really nice paperweight sitting in the corner of the room.
So! My question is: can I use this shell of a Macbook as a second monitor for my new one? And if so, how would I do that?
