Is it safe to delete App folder in iTunes Media...

Any idea if iTunes don't support apps anymore that it is safe to delete the app folder in iTunes Media folder? It would save quite a lot space on my disk - 16 GB

You may want to make sure all the apps you use are still available

in the App Store first.  If you should ever have to restore your device

and the app is no longer in the store, you will lose it.

If there are some apps such as that, you may want to copy the

files to some backup (another hard drive, a USB stick, SD card, etc.)

so you still have them.

Note: if any of them are still 32 bit apps, they will be useless anyway

          if you upgrade to iOS11, which will only support 64bit apps.
