Thunderbolt monitor volume is low

I don't know what is going on, but my volume is fine on my MacBook Pro, but suddenly the volume on my Thunderbolt Monitor is not very loud, not matter what I do.  I have verified in Sound that Output Volume is at Max for Diplay Audio.  I have been to Audio Midi Setup and the bottom two sliders are at Maximum.

Who has a suggestion?

I just experienced this problem, and it was fixed by plugging in the usb cord from the display to the computer.

What USB Cord are you referring to?  I only have a Thunderbolt cable coming out of my display.

I've actually noticed that in the Audio Preferences, something keeps adjusting the Display Input Volume so that it's almost always at the bottom.  Anyone make any headway on this issue or experiencing it?

I have to keep pushing the volume up every time I make a call through my mac.

I just had the same problem and fixed it in 30 seconds.

Got to System Preferences > Sound > Output. Play around with selecting the output device until you find the one that outputs the sound the loudest.
