High Sierra Crash

I have down loaded High Sierra twice.  I have ran the installer 5 times when the same results (CRASH) during installation.  I cannot save the LOG as it says I do not have "permission" to save it.  I have a MacBook Pro 2015 and have done upgrades before.  This computer is current with all upgrades etc.  If I click rebook I get a folder icon with a question mark.  I then have to hard rebook and I am back to square one.

What can I try next?
