MBP Massive Trackpad

I've owned every model of Intel MBP and this is the first one i would like to return. the trackpad is so awful as is the super noisy keyboard without any textural arrow keys.

Its a bit like the absent 3.5mm on the phone - pushing philosophies at the expense of usability.

The Massive Trackpad is not usably with tap to click turned on - you cannot use a laptop with your wrists suspended in the air - tap to click (like magsafe was) is a huge benefit of using a MBP.

Is there any software that lets me reduce the area of the trackpad that is touch sensitive so this computer can be usable?

Why take something awesome (previous MBP models) and remove the good stuff and replace with crap stuff...
