Imac errors

When opening Imessage on my Mac, I received some weird errors. Two of my contacts showed as offline. Have never had this happen before. Also, there was a box on the lower left corner with "jabber" and saying I was offline. Never saw this before either. Computer is online.

Next, while verifying permissions, I got the weird tag, as seen in the photo, saying "warning" and a long list of letters, ///, and then saying it couldn't be fixed.

Very disturbing in light of the Equifax thing.

Can anyone offer me some good news?
