Apps & books no longer in iTunes

Why did Apple take away the ability of have apps and books in iTunes version 12. It appears it will not work on a

PC only on a Mac. Guess Apple does not like PC's.

Yep, i had a long chat with apple support last night. On windows you can uninstall and reinstall an older version to get back the functionality but on mac its not a simple fix. I had to revert to an oldet time machine backup, i dont have the bandwidth to download app updates multiple times on multiple devices so im stuck at 12.6

Thanks for the help. I have an old version of iTunes from june 2017 in my download folder. I will try that one.
