Possible password attack?

I did a stupid thing this morning. I got an email from a family member which looked legitimate and contained a link. I clicked the link without thinking (in my defense, I am dealing with a 6 hour jet lag since returning from a vacation in Europe). The click took me to a blank browser page. Nothing else 'obvious' happened.

However, now the email account associated with that message is saying that I need to re-enter my Yahoo password. And, the account is disabled. This happens on three different devices: an iMac, a MacBook Pro and my iPhone. It also happens if I go into 'Internet accounts' in my systems preferences panel. And, an attempt to enter 'webmail' also requested a password even though it was stored in the keychain. My other email accounts are working fine.

I am concerned that this email has messed with my keychain and has installed something on my system to monitor the password when I re-enter it into Yahoo. I am running anti-virus software but am not sure it would pick up this type of an issue. I did a google search for the body and addresses of the suspicious email but found nothing. The fact that this is showing up on multiple computers seems odd but could be explained if my keychain was damaged (since the keychain is synced using iCloud).

Any advice appreciated. Does this seem like a real threat? Is there anything I can run to see if the system has been compromised?

I have an off-line bootable back-up from last night (before the email arrived) and could do a full re-installation back to that check-point but would rather not take that on unless I have to.

Thanks.
