cannot restore back up to new iphone as it appa...

When trying to transfer my data from old iphone to new iphone via itunes. it asks to enter the back up password which i did not set up. i have tried every possible password and ones i seen suggested such as 1234 and 0000. i even reset my old iphone settings so that the back up password would be deleted. this still hasnt worked as it still asks for the back up password when new iphone is connected to itunes even though the encryption iPhone back up is unchecked

Resetting settings on the old phone won't remove the encryption password, that is only done by typing in the password and turning it off, or resetting the phone back to factory defaults. If you don't the password you won't be able to use that backup, nor turn encryption off for the old phone : https://support.apple.com/kb/HT205220
