time machine and encrypted *.sparseimage

Hi

I am using Time Machine to backup. On the SDD that is being backed up, is an encrypted *.sparseimage.

Inside this encrypted *.sparseimage are several files.

Inside the encrypted *.sparseimage are for example 2 textiles.

Two Questions:

1. if i put a new textfile inside the encrypted *.sparseimage. Will Time Machine realise that something has changed and during the next backup the encrypted *.sparseimage will be replaced. So that in the backup of the sparseimage are now 3 textiles?

2. if i make a change in one of the files inside the encrypted *.sparseimage. what will happen during the next TM-backup? Will the edited textfile inside the encrypted *.sparseimage be backed up because TM will put a new version of the encrypted *.sparseimage inside the backup?

Thanks for your help.

If I understand you correctly, you are modifying a sparsebundle image on the source volume. When it is modified, Time Machine will back it up like any other modified file. It backs up the whole sparsebundle image. The answer is yes to both questions.
