Disk info lost after making a partition

I had an external SSD on which I had downloaded information to install Windows programs with bootcamp a Windows 7 version and some other windows software.  After recent troubles with another MBA am using to run Windows I decided to put all on one external drive.  For this I needed to make an extra partition on this external drive.  Disk utility told me that the other information on the external disk would not get lost.  After a while the MBA with only Mac OS X on I used to add a second partition it gave me the warning that the partition had failed.  However the full disk was called as Macintosh Hard drive and fully in use.  When I plug in the USB external drive I get the below result.  Checking the diskutil list with terminal I for the external drive.  I tried first aid and recover but no results.   Can I recover the data that was on the disk before?  There is no visible information on the disk anymore.

Thank you.
