MacOS Recovery attempt

Hey folks,

I am using a MacBook Pro Retina running Sierra10.12.?. I need to re-install the OS. When I attempt to alternate boot (CMD-R/Opt-CMD-R/Shift-Opt-CMD-R)  I see the screen below. Any thoughts on what would cause this screen?
